I have had the privilege and joy of making my living for 32 years painting sets and backdrops for prominent theater, opera, children shows and more. But, I have loved children’s books and their illustrations my whole life. I have spent many hours pouring over ,admiring and studying them.
Having raised children and coming from a large family I’ve been around children my whole life. Their curiosity and perspective fascinates, charms and inspires me. This plus painting on countless children shows all these years has helped me develop a style I wish to continue to cultivate. My work is rendered by hand, usually in watercolor, gouache, pen and ink. I have so many ideas whirling around my head that i would like to explore, while I also look forward to collaborating with others. I am thrilled to begin this new journey. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it. I would love to have you follow me on my path.
I am a current member of SCBWI and continue to explore illustration opportunities.
